Java Backend Developer - Cloud

Role Overview

Join the Compliance Platform Team to develop and enhance a compliance platform that helps maintain regulatory standards and ensures secure, reliable operations. You’ll design, code, test, and deploy new features while refining existing functionality as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new compliance platform features that meet business and quality requirements
• Enhance and optimize existing platform functionality for performance and user experience
• Estimate effort, plan development tasks, prioritize work, and ensure timely delivery
• Collaborate with product managers, scrum teams, and operations teams to align delivery with business objectives
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, security, and adherence to best practices
• Support deployments, monitor production environments, and troubleshoot issues
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the platform

Requirements

• 5–8 years of backend software development experience delivering high-quality applications
• Proficiency with Java EE technologies (coding, design, implementation)
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs
• Spring framework experience
• Cloud-based technologies experience
• Strong OOP fundamentals
• Agile experience, including code reviews and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to analyze requirements, estimate effort, and plan deliverables
• Strong problem-solving skills with focus on scalability and reliability
