Role Overview

The IT Support Technician provides onsite and remote technical support to Avalere Health employees in Washington, D.C. and surrounding suburbs. The role focuses on employee support, managing expectations during troubleshooting, and working effectively in a fast-changing technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor assigned tickets and the incident management ticket queue
  • Own tickets throughout the incident life cycle, providing timely updates to requesters
  • Accurately record time against tickets
  • Procure, provision, and support IT hardware (e.g., laptops, printers, mobile devices)
  • Procure, provision, and support IT software and services
  • Implement file/folder permissions changes
  • Support end-user web filtering and email security
  • Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to repair/support technology components
  • Update and improve knowledge base documentation
  • Follow asset management processes to ensure accurate recording of company resources
