IT Project Manager (MSP)

Role Overview

FusionTek is hiring an IT Project Manager (MSP) to lead and manage IT projects from kickoff through completion. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope/timelines/budgets, and act as a primary client point of contact to ensure successful service delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Lead and manage project engineers (people management, coaching, mentorship, performance feedback)
• Own department/project success by understanding profitability metrics and resource allocation
• Serve as the primary liaison to clients with timely updates and issue resolution
• Ensure work is executed according to the project plan by overseeing technical resources
• Maintain accurate project documentation (plans, schedules, budgets, change orders, closure docs)
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks
• Implement formal change control to prevent scope creep and keep alignment with business objectives
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings and regular status updates to communicate progress and blockers
• Facilitate collaboration across staff, clients, and vendors
• Evaluate and provide feedback on project hour estimates
• Conduct post-project evaluations to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years project management experience specifically in an MSP environment (required)
• Experience working with clients, vendors, and internal technical teams in a fast-paced service environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously

Preferred

• PMP certification (or other relevant project management credentials)

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure/managed services and ability to explain technical topics to clients
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
• Hands-on experience with PSA/project tools such as ConnectWise Manage, Autotask, Asana, or Microsoft Project
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices
