About the role
Role overview
The DevOps Engineer II (remote in CA only) leads automation for deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments. You’ll deploy product updates, troubleshoot production issues, and build integrations that meet customer needs—while improving reliability, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Lead IaC development using Terraform and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
- Manage Linux/Kubernetes cluster environments
- Deploy solutions following change management processes
- Support development teams with API integration strategy and standards development
- Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates/fixes
- Use Splunk for administration, query optimization, alerting, and dashboard development
- Build tools to reduce errors and improve customer experience
- Propose automation ideas to reduce workload and eliminate toil
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Design and write tests for infrastructure failure and scaling investigation
- Create and maintain response playbooks for incident management and monitoring tools
- Monitor systems, provision metrics, and set up alerts including alert suppression
- Reduce alert fatigue and analyze operational metrics to improve availability
- Implement and operate cloud platform services and standards defined by Cloud Engineering
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experienced in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering
- Significant experience with Terraform, Python, and PowerShell
- Hands-on ability to design, implement, and operate automation, IaC, CI/CD, and observability
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues and drive them to resolution
- Strong skills in monitoring, alerting, incident readiness, and corrective action
- Experience with Kubernetes and managing container orchestration environments

- Strong Splunk administration, alerting, and dashboard development
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement culture
