About the role
Role Overview
IS Architect – Epic Bridges (Full-time, direct hire)
Primarily remote, but must reside in Texas. The role is responsible for designing and supporting complex healthcare system integrations and interfaces, with deep subject matter expertise in Epic Bridges.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Bridges and related Epic integrations.
- Design, build, and support multi-tiered integrations using healthcare interoperability standards.
- Scope and design Epic HL7 interfaces following best practices.
- Build and support integrations using:
- HL7
- API / Web Services
- FHIR
- MFT / FTP
- Work with integration platforms including Corepoint and MFT.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
- Provide guidance and mentor on integration-related architecture and implementation.
- Make decisions aligned with secure integration best practices, Epic recommendations, and proper healthcare workflows.
Requirements
- Epic Bridges Certification.
- Minimum 5+ years of Epic Bridges experience building and supporting interfaces.
- Strong understanding of Epic order transmittal and related workflows.
- Understanding of hospital and clinical workflows.
- Minimum 3+ years of Corepoint experience.
- Security protocols knowledge for healthcare integrations.
Nice-to-Haves
- Additional Epic certifications.
- XML experience (preferred).
- FHIR experience (preferred).
- API/Web Services experience (preferred).
- SQL experience (preferred).
- Experience with architecture/design of complex multi-tiered integrations (explicitly emphasized).
