IRS - Sr. Information Technology Project Manager

Role overview

Sr. Information Technology Project Manager to support an IRS program. The position is remote and requires an Active Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex IT initiatives across the full project lifecycle.
• Oversee systems analysis and systems integration in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams in a lead/supervisory capacity (required experience).
• Monitor and oversee multiple concurrent tasks and initiatives lasting 4–6 months.
• Apply governance and compliance knowledge related to federal security and risk management.
• Support security-focused planning, including knowledge of FISMA, NIST publications, OMB, RMF, and ISCM Plan development.

Requirements

• Active Public Trust clearance.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT project management, systems analysis, and systems integration in large-scale or mission-critical environments.
• At least 5 years in a lead or supervisory capacity managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing full lifecycle IT initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• PMP or PgMP certification required (or equivalent).

Preferred / desired qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent).
• Highly desirable certifications/experience:
  • ITIL
  • Agile (including Scrum Master / SAFe)
  • DAWIA Level III PM
  • Security-related certifications aligned to (ISC)2, ISA, PMI, CompTIA, or SANS
• Knowledge/experience with:
  • IRS infrastructure, enterprise technologies, and general support systems
  • Technology risk assessments (e.g., Web services, network appliances, software)
  • IRS Enterprise Lifecycle and OneSDLC
  • System interconnections including VPN and encryption technologies
  • Cloud systems, CSPs, and FedRAMP requirements
  • IRS business units and enterprise/organizational processes
  • Tools/platforms: Qmulos Q-Compliance, SharePoint, scanning tools, ServiceNow GRC, Splunk
  • Security engineering, assessment, and security architecture principles with system modeling
