iOS Mobile Software Developer II (Remote or Hybrid)

Role Overview

Redfin is hiring an iOS Mobile Software Engineer (II) to build and improve its mobile app experiences for people finding their next home. You’ll help deliver fast, stable infrastructure and ship features that support the home-buying journey while users are on the move.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex iOS projects that improve how customers make major decisions.
• Collaborate with teammates by reviewing code, writing documentation, refining best practices, and building maintainable, testable codebases.
• Work with product and design teams to understand user and business needs.
• Drive iOS best practices and design principles, incorporating relevant industry trends.
• Use approved AI code generation tools to help document, architect, and create code.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and reliability (nights/weekends as needed).

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years of native iOS experience.
• Practical experience building iOS apps in Swift.
• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
• Strong communication skills; can collaborate across distances and experience levels and disagree constructively.
• A continuous focus on improving user experience, including identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks.
• Passion for well-architected, clean, well-written code.
• Stay current with trends in the iOS community.

Nice to Have

• Experience running experiments and using experimentation frameworks.
