About the role

Role: iOS Engineer

Join Oura’s iOS engineering organization to build and maintain key features in the Oura mobile app. You’ll work in cross-functional feature squads with autonomy and end-to-end ownership—from concept and design through implementation, release, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with other engineers to improve the app experience and codebase
Deliver and maintain high-quality code for roadmap projects
Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers
Coordinate with teams such as firmware, data, backend, and science to implement new features

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of professional iOS development experience shipping apps
Strong Swift skills and experience with modern iOS app architectures and common third-party libraries/frameworks
Experience working collaboratively on complex shared codebases
Proficiency with Git, branching, and standard code review workflows
Quality focus via unit tests and manual testing
Solid computer science fundamentals and design patterns

Nice to Have

5+ years iOS shipping experience
Exposure to: Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, UIKit, SwiftUI, CoreAnimation/CoreGraphics
Any of: C++, PyTorch/ML algorithms, TypeScript, CI/CD, Kotlin Multiplatform
Ability to take ownership of projects and design technical solutions
Experience with Agile/Scrum, systems architecture, and performance optimization
Experience working asynchronously across countries/time zones
Experience collaborating with firmware teams and/or health & wellness domains
Experience with encryption or data privacy

Remote / Location

Remote US role with preference for candidates in the US-Pacific timezone
Offices in San Francisco and San Diego (hybrid/office options), plus employee hubs in several US cities.
