About the role

Role Overview

Fieldwire is seeking an iOS Engineer to lead the iOS engineering team. The iOS app is built natively (originally in Objective-C, with newer development in Swift) and must perform well across customer environments online or offline.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the iOS app in Objective-C and Swift
Triaging and debugging issues using appropriate tools
Collaborate with engineers to refine features based on stakeholder input
Partner with design and product teams to deliver high-impact features
Stay current with the latest iOS development practices and features
Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of experience building a production iOS app
Experience with modern iOS development
Strong ability to write clean, well-tested, modular code in Swift
Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures

Nice to Have

Experience with Core Data, Objective-C, and XCTest
Knowledge of iOS design patterns such as MVVM
Advanced debugging experience for memory and performance issues
