IOS Engineer

Role Overview

Mid iOS Engineer to help build and scale ARQ’s mobile experience as the company grows its mobile team. You’ll work on consumer-facing iOS features across core product areas (from Support Chat to Stock Trading) while contributing high-quality, maintainable Swift code.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality iOS features across multiple product areas.
• Write clean, maintainable Swift using Xcode and modern iOS tooling.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and other Mobile engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Own features from implementation through launch, ensuring reliability, polish, and production readiness.
• Improve app quality across performance, stability, error states, crash handling, and UX polish.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain strong engineering standards.
• Move quickly and take ownership as the mobile team scales.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional iOS development experience (ideally consumer-facing apps).
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Xcode.
• Solid understanding of iOS fundamentals: app lifecycle, networking, storage, permissions, and performance.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow professional software production routines.
• App architecture knowledge and common patterns such as MVVM.
• Strong product-quality mindset (UX, edge cases, device differences, reliability).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively; fast learner.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with ARQ’s fintech product domains (e.g., support, trading) is a plus, but not explicitly required.
