About the role

Role Overview

Freelance iOS Developer (7-week contract) supporting a project to build and refine native iOS experiences. This is a hands-on role working closely with product designers, strategists, and engineers to deliver polished, performant iOS applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit
Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect UI and interactions
Build reusable components and scalable iOS architecture patterns
Integrate APIs and backend services into mobile apps
Optimize performance, responsiveness, and accessibility
Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices
Troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions within project timelines
Maintain and enhance existing UIKit features while contributing to SwiftUI implementations
Work effectively in a distributed/remote environment with clear communication

Requirements

3+ years of professional iOS development
Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI
Hands-on UIKit experience required
Experience building and shipping native iOS applications
Solid understanding of iOS frameworks and architecture patterns
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and asynchronous data flows
Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows
Strong attention to detail and ability to implement design specifications accurately
Excellent communication skills; able to work independently remotely

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with digital agencies or design studios
Exposure to modern iOS architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, Coordinator)
Experience creating polished animations, transitions, and mobile interactions
Familiarity with accessibility standards and performance optimization
Experience collaborating directly with UX/UI design teams
