Role

UX Research Intern (8–10 weeks, Full Time, Non-Exempt)

Remote, must be located in the US and authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future.

What you’ll do

• Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Conduct foundational and generative user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, diary studies, contextual inquiries) with policyholders, claimants, agents, and internal users.
• Run evaluative research such as usability tests, heuristic evaluations, and A/B concept testing (including AI-enhanced flows like recommendations and intelligent notifications).
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using findings from user sessions, analytics (e.g., payment drop-off, adoption metrics), support tickets, and user feedback.
• Create research outputs including personas, journey maps, opportunity frameworks, and research reports.
• Own an end-to-end dedicated research project (planning → execution → insights → recommendations).
• Collaborate cross-functionally by sharing insights to influence product roadmaps, design decisions, and AI feature prioritization.
• Support inclusive design and accessibility by incorporating diverse perspectives and assessing equitable experiences impacted by AI.

Deliverables

• Present learnings and outcomes, including key user insights (especially around AI integration) and actionable recommendations to leadership.

• Experience or interest in AI-human-centered UX research (transparency/explainability, reducing confusion in intelligent automation, privacy-aware personalization, validating impact on satisfaction and adoption).
