About the role
Role overview
You will work as an InsuranceNow Developer on a 100% remote basis to build and customize a Cyber insurance product within the Guidewire InsuranceNow platform.
Responsibilities
- Build and customize a new cyber insurance product on Guidewire InsuranceNow
- Design and implement complex rating logic and business rules using Java
- Develop and modify UI-heavy workflows with data entry and validation (HTML/JavaScript basics helpful)
- Extend and override existing Java services, service handlers, and core application logic
- Implement changes safely in a shared, multi-product InsuranceNow environment
- Configure and work with XML-based configurations and data structures
- Collaborate with developers, product partners, and internal teams
- Contribute to early claims module development as the product evolves
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow
- Strong Java skills (business logic, service customization)
- Experience with data-heavy UI workflows (HTML/JavaScript basics helpful)
- Comfort working with XML-based configurations and data models
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge
Nice-to-haves
- Deeper UI workflow experience beyond basic HTML/JavaScript
- Experience with claims module development in InsuranceNow
