Insurance Product Development Manager

Role Overview

Insurance Product Development Manager at Kin Insurance (Full Remote). You will design and develop new insurance products and features, lead state expansion efforts, and use AI/ML to improve pricing accuracy. You’ll collaborate with actuarial, product, and compliance teams to directly impact Kin’s growth and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new insurance products, rules, coverages, and enhancements to improve competitiveness and customer value.
• Lead state expansion efforts by building and launching pricing models for new states and optimizing existing state models for performance.
• Own product research and proposals for new products/rules/coverages/enhancements and manage the end-to-end rollout.
• Translate market research and competitive analysis into concrete pricing and product recommendations.
• Use AI and machine learning tools to enhance pricing (and/or underwriting/risk workflows) with measurable results.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product development experience.
• 5+ years of insurance product development experience.
• Strong understanding of regulatory modeling and compliance requirements across multiple states.
• Comfortable partnering cross-functionally with actuarial, product, and compliance teams without formal authority.
• Hands-on experience building or launching new insurance products/features and rating enhancements.
• Experience supporting state expansion, including new-state pricing model development and regulatory readiness.

Nice to Have

• Homeowners insurance experience (preferred, not required).
