Instructor, Product Management, Simplilearn (Part Time)

Role Overview

Part-time, remote Instructor for Simplilearn’s Product Management Program (developed with UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies). You’ll teach live online classes, mentor learners through labs and real-world projects, and connect Product Management concepts to practical business applications.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive learning environment by teaching selected lessons aligned to learning objectives and provided session plans.
• Support adult learning using instructional best practices, appropriate tech tools, and relevant industry insights.
• Communicate regularly with students to align on progress, expectations, celebrate milestones, and address concerns.
• Provide student support during synchronous sessions (and via office hours), and asynchronously through timely responses.
• Assess learning and progression by:
  • Providing constructive, timely feedback.
  • Supporting Performance Action Plans for students who need extra help.
• Act as a role model and brand ambassador with professional, ethical, and empathetic engagement.
• Drive retention and satisfaction by fostering a positive classroom culture and using effective interventions and resources.
• Encourage teamwork and seek feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in the product space, preferably in product-based companies.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Product Strategy Development (vision, goals, success metrics, business outcomes)
  • Market Research & Customer Discovery (user interviews, competitive analysis, validating needs)
  • Roadmapping & Lifecycle Management (turning strategy into roadmaps, managing releases, iterating)
