Infrastructure Security Engineer (Remote)

Design, implement, and maintain security controls across the organization’s IT infrastructure to protect systems, networks, and data, while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions for networks, servers, cloud, and on-premise infrastructure
• Monitor systems for breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity
• Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and coordinate penetration testing
• Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools
• Ensure secure configuration and system/infrastructure hardening
• Collaborate with IT and DevOps to integrate security into system design and deployment
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and conduct root cause analysis
• Maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST
• Stay current on emerging threats, tools, and security trends

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in infrastructure and/or cybersecurity
• Strong knowledge of network security, system administration, and cloud security
• Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS)
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows and networking protocols
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and security frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation tools
