About the role

Role Overview

Infrastructure Architect (Direct Hire) responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in a hands-on capacity. You will lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives while driving availability, reliability, monitoring, and performance excellence.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into cloud architecture and solutions that optimize value and meet customer objectives
Lead deployment of infrastructure solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
Continuously evaluate infrastructure performance, improving reliability and reducing cost
Identify and resolve infrastructure and application defects in collaboration with development teams
Deliver and monitor solutions using scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Unix shell, YAML, JSON)
Support and implement DevOps tooling such as GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
Apply IaC practices to build and manage infrastructure consistently and repeatably
Develop and implement automation best practices for operations and development
Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and trends
Document solutions and processes and share knowledge across teams

Required Skills

10+ years of deep technical systems experience designing and supporting production environments
Hands-on experience building and deploying cloud solutions (including AWS)
Monitoring solutions experience (e.g., Dynatrace)
System administration for Unix/Linux and Windows environments
Scripting to automate administrative and security processes

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with multiple infrastructure automation tools
Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher
CI/CD frameworks/tools: GitLab, Artifactory
Test automation frameworks
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Experience with SaaS product development or FDA-regulated medical device environments
Cloud and Security certifications
