About the role

Role Overview

The Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR department and deliver HR services aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and employees while fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily HR operations and ensure delivery of high-quality HR services
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies
  • Develop and manage the HR budget and monitor departmental expenses
  • Partner with senior leadership to craft HR strategies, assess policies/programs, and recommend improvements
  • Build and track HR metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement
  • Implement programs for employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and retention
  • Support compensation program administration (salary reviews, market benchmarking, pay equity analyses)
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and staffing initiatives
  • Oversee performance management, coaching managers and supporting employee development
  • Coordinate with Benefits, Payroll, and Training teams to administer benefits, manage leave policies, and support onboarding/training
  • Advise on employee relations: policy interpretation, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective actions (with legal counsel when necessary)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years progressive HR experience
  • 3+ years in a managerial or senior HR leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
  • Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA and related regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; ability to develop strategic HR initiatives
