Human Resources Manager

Role Overview

Transdev (Burnsville, MN) is seeking a Field Human Resources Manager to lead full-cycle HR for operational success. You will act as a strategic partner to operational managers, supporting recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and HR policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leadership to support daily HR activities and align HR strategy with business goals.
• Administer and monitor compliance with company policies and employment laws across departments.
• Drive employee relations by fostering a safe, respectful, inclusive workplace; handle concerns and resolve disputes.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation (handbooks, recognition programs, personnel files, and other records).
• Develop proactive employee engagement strategies, promoting open communication across union and non-union staff.
• Advise branch managers on employee relations, disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and statutory obligations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience managing HR and labor relations.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, termination processes.
• Experience with benefits administration and compensation management.
• Strong understanding of employee record management and HR compliance.
• Familiarity with union and non-union environments and employment laws/regulations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Passing a DOT drug test and physical may be required depending on operational needs (49 CFR Part 40).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll management.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience supporting HR in environments with both union and non-union employees.
