About the role
Role Overview
Human Resources Generalist (Remote, 7–8 months, with possibility of extension)
Responsibilities
- Administer HR plans, procedures, and help develop/implement personnel policies and the employee handbook
- Manage compensation and monitor performance evaluation programs
- Handle benefits administration (claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approval, and employee communications)
- Develop and maintain affirmative action program documentation and related reporting/records
- Support employee relations activities such as counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews (as needed)
- Maintain and update HR information system (HRIS) records and compile reports
- Assist with talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and support training and development initiatives
- Support employees on HR topics (e.g., leaves and compensation) and help resolve issues
- Gather and analyze HR metrics (e.g., time to hire, employee turnover)
- Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records (electronic and paper)
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor regulations
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Business, or related field
- HR Certification Institute certifications are a plus (PHR, SPHR, GPHR)
