About the role

Role overview

GNC is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support its Retail Field organization across an assigned geographic territory. This is a remote role focused on being a strategic and hands-on partner to District Managers, Regional Directors, and Store Leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for retail field leaders in the assigned territory
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching on:
    • employee relations
    • performance management
    • policy interpretation
    • attendance management
    • corrective action
  • Lead workplace investigations related to:
    • complaints and policy violations
    • harassment, discrimination, retaliation
    • ethics concerns and other employee relations matters
  • Maintain thorough documentation, accurate case records, and policy-based recommendations
  • Advise leaders on discipline, performance improvement plans, terminations, and other employment decisions
  • Support talent management, including:
    • succession planning
    • talent reviews
    • development planning
    • retention strategies
  • Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, staffing, engagement, etc.) and recommend solutions
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and field leadership on recruiting strategies and workforce planning
  • Improve onboarding and associate/leader integration
  • Support organizational changes, restructures, leadership transitions, and change management
  • Ensure consistent compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies

Requirements

  • Ability to reside within the Southeastern United States to effectively support the assigned retail field organization
  • Ability to regularly partner with field leadership (District Managers, Regional Directors, Store Leaders)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fast-paced retail HR and/or employee relations with investigatory and corrective action responsibilities
  • Knowledge of employment law compliance and workplace investigation best practices
