About the role

Role Overview

itD is seeking a Human Resource Manager (remote, United States) to support workplace integrity through complex employee relations investigations and expert guidance on employment matters. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver fair, consistent outcomes and help strengthen employee relations programs.

Location & Duration

  • Remote (U.S.) — candidates may be in any U.S. time zone
  • Preference: ability to collaborate with a team operating in Pacific Time
  • Duration: 12 months

Internal / Practice Responsibilities

  • Attend internal practice community meetings
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
  • Complete client case studies and learning materials (blogs, media)
  • Build content for the Digital Transformation practice
  • Attend itD networking events (in person and virtual)
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend actions aligned with company policies and employment practices
  • Manage a high volume of employee relations cases from intake to resolution with timely communication, documentation, and closure
  • Maintain detailed, accurate case records, investigation findings, and supporting documentation
  • Advise managers, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders on employee relations, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions
  • Coach and counsel employees and leaders on complex workplace issues while balancing employee advocacy and business needs
  • Partner with legal/HR/cross-functional teams to assess risk and ensure consistent application of policies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, training sessions, and educational materials on employee relations best practices
  • Support development and continuous improvement of employee relations programs and processes
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior/executive leadership
  • Leverage emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency while protecting employee experience and workplace culture

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of HR and/or Employee Relations experience
  • 3+ years conducting workplace/employee relations investigations
  • 2+ years supporting employees within a multinational organization
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters and high-volume workloads
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, and disciplinary processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to operate across all organizational levels
  • Sound judgment, confidentiality, and professional handling of sensitive situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR Acuity (or similar employee relations case management platforms)
  • Proven success partnering with business leaders on organizational objectives and workforce initiatives
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and training delivery experience
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment
