HR Manager

Role Overview

Rho Nutrition is seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to partner with the VP of HR to build and scale a high-performing people function. The role owns day-to-day people operations across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Payroll administration and HR compliance
• Benefits administration and management of vendor relationships
• Leave administration
• HRIS administration, reporting, and ensuring data integrity
• Employee onboarding and offboarding
• HR policy administration and compliance
• Delivering an exceptional employee experience

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

• Execute Rho’s people strategy alongside the VP of HR
• Lead continuous improvement of HR operations and workflows
• Develop, document, and optimize HR policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Payroll and Benefits

• Run accurate, compliant, and timely payroll administration
• Partner with payroll providers to resolve issues and improve payroll processes
• Administer benefits: enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, annual open enrollment, and employee communications

HRIS & Employee Data Management

• Administer the HRIS (Rippling preferred) and maintain accurate employee records
• Maintain HR reporting, dashboards, and workforce metrics
• Support audits and compliance reporting

Onboarding and Offboarding

• Lead onboarding: paperwork, system setup, orientation, and cross-functional coordination
• Manage offboarding: exit interviews, documentation, system access, final payroll coordination, and benefits communications

Leave Management and Compliance

• Manage leave administration including FMLA, ADA accommodations, state leave programs, disability, parental leave, and workers’ compensation (as applicable)
• Coordinate leave process with employees, managers, payroll, and benefits providers
• Maintain compliant documentation and ensure timely communication
• Stay current on employment law changes and recommend policy/process updates

HR Programs & Continuous Improvement

• Support performance management, employee engagement, recognition, and talent development initiatives
• Assist with recruiting coordination/hiring processes as needed
• Support VP of HR initiatives, special projects, and organizational programs
