About the role
Role Overview
The HR Generalist (Remote) provides comprehensive HR support to assigned departments/entities. The role covers employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training, policy implementation and compliance, and special projects—ensuring HR activities align with organizational goals and support a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting & onboarding: Conduct interviews, complete new-hire checklists, validate training for successful onboarding, and lead new-hire orientation
- Employee support: Answer questions on benefits, leave of absence, job postings, paid time off, and company policies
- Employee relations: Provide counseling and conflict-resolution support in alignment with company policy
- HRIS & records management: Maintain accurate employee records for promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations
- Offboarding: Conduct exit interviews, prepare separation documentation, and manage access deactivation via security processes
- HR analytics: Use turnover, retention, and engagement metrics to support departmental goals and initiatives
- Compensation & equity: Advise leaders on pay, compensation practices, and internal equity
- Policy communication: Interpret and communicate handbook policies consistently across departments
- Recognition programs: Support rewards and recognition across corporate and hospital locations
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, HR Management, or related field
- Experience: 2–4 years of HR experience
- Knowledge/skills:
- Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Analytical skills to use data for decision-making and improvement initiatives
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Human Resources/HR Management or related field
- PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-SCP (as listed)
