About the role
Role Overview
The HR Generalist drives people operations and HR strategy in a growing technology organization. You will own the employee lifecycle—from onboarding through offboarding—while partnering with leadership to scale people programs, ensure compliance, and foster a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations:
- onboarding
- benefits administration
- payroll processing
- employee records maintenance in HRIS
- Partner with people managers on:
- employee relations
- performance management
- compensation reviews
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple US states
- Design and improve people programs and policies and support employee engagement for a remote-first culture
- Analyze HR metrics and turnover data to recommend operational improvements and inform leadership decisions
- Facilitate employee training on:
- company policies
- professional development
- DEI standards (diversity, equity, and inclusion)
Requirements
- 3–6 years as an HR Generalist or People Operations professional in high-growth technology environments
- Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll tools (e.g., Rippling, Gusto, Workday)
- Deep knowledge of US labor laws, employment compliance, and multi-state employment regulations
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills with discretion and confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Nice to Have
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Experience scaling remote workforces across multiple countries
