About the role

Role Overview

As an HR Generalist within Airbnb’s Employee Experience (EX) delivery model, you will help deliver high-quality HR services across the employee journey for business teams across the Americas. This is a highly cross-functional role partnering with business, EX/HR, and global/regional teams to resolve people matters and support cyclical talent programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business Talent teams to support the Employee Experience/People strategy for assigned business teams.
  • Act as a key HR point of contact for people matters; analyze issues and drive appropriate resolutions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business strategy, roadmaps, and how teams interrelate to support Airbnb’s goals.
  • Execute and manage function-specific projects in partnership with Business Talent teams.
  • Intake, analyze, and plan solutions for a broad range of employee relations and HR topics; collaborate with EX partners as needed.
  • Advise and coach people managers and employees on matters requiring intervention or guidance.
  • Enable the workforce to handle inquiries independently by promoting EX self-service support.
  • Partner with Centers of Expertise (COEs) to plan, manage, and support cyclical programs such as:
    • performance management
    • annual compensation reviews
    • talent reviews
    • employee listening
  • Share content and process feedback with COE teams to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to deliver an excellent client experience, including:
    • Legal (employment regulations compliance)
    • Total Rewards (compensation and benefits clarity)
    • Talent Ops (talent process/projects)
  • Identify trends and patterns to inform organizational insights, proactive planning, and issue mitigation.
  • Track KPIs and metrics to measure performance, trends, and impact.
  • Maintain and update HR data accurately in Workday.
  • Promote Airbnb Core Values and Diversity & Belonging across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience in fast-moving, high-growth, global companies.
  • 4+ functional HR areas experience (e.g., HRBP, Compensation, Recruiting, Employee Relations, Talent Management).
  • Strong knowledge of core HR disciplines including:
    • HR Operations
    • Compensation and Benefits
    • Recruiting
    • Employee Relations
    • Talent Management
    • Organization Design and Change Management
  • Demonstrated ability to balance big-picture strategy with detailed execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep understanding of how business teams and functions drive a unified company roadmap and goals.
