Role overview

HR Compliance Specialist responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal HR policies. Supports HR operations with accurate workforce reporting, audit readiness, policy governance, and compliance risk management across a global workforce.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage HR compliance programs and support workforce reporting required by regulators.
  • Partner with global immigration vendors to support immigration services and compliance.
  • Own recurring and ad hoc HR compliance reports, including:
    • AAP
    • EEO-1
    • ADA
    • VETS-4212
    • State-mandated workforce reporting
  • Collaborate with HRIS teams to define reporting requirements, validate data accuracy, and maintain audit-ready reporting systems.
  • Maintain and update HR policies to ensure alignment with employment laws and internal governance.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise HR leadership on required policy/process updates.
  • Work with Legal and HR stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and manage compliance risks.
  • Conduct internal audits for compliance with employment laws, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure I-9 compliance and support employment verification processes.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training for HR teams and communicate policy updates organization-wide.
  • Support compliance during organizational changes (e.g., workforce reductions, acquisitions, divestitures).
  • Perform additional HR compliance duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR Compliance or related HR function.
  • Strong knowledge of employment regulations and workforce reporting/governance.
  • Experience with AAP/EEO reporting, federal contractor compliance, and employment regulations.
  • Strong understanding of OFCCP, EEOC, ADA, and other applicable employment laws.
  • Experience managing external vendors and compliance partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and business priorities.
