Healthcare - UI / UX Researcher

Role Overview

UX/UI Researcher for a healthcare applications Agile team. Location: Texas preferred (Hybrid or Remote) Duration: 3 months (possible extension)

Responsibilities

• Conduct UX research, discovery sessions, and usability studies
• Understand user workflows, operational processes, and business needs
• Create personas, journey maps, and workflow diagrams
• Produce low- and high-fidelity concepts (wireframes, mockups, prototypes)
• Design intuitive, modern, and responsive UI experiences
• Build and maintain design systems and reusable components
• Facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams
• Translate research findings into UX/UI solutions and support usability improvements
• Present recommendations and design concepts to stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong hands-on UX and UI design experience
• Mandatory: Human Factors Engineering or Healthcare UX expertise
• Proficiency with Figma
• Experience with FigJam and Miro
• Demonstrated ability with:
  • Personas and user journeys
  • Workflow diagrams
  • Low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity UI mockups
  • Interactive prototyping
  • Design systems and reusable components
• Strong visual design/UX thinking and stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Digital Health / MedTech / Healthcare or connected device platforms
• Experience designing responsive web and mobile applications
• Knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices
• Experience working in Agile product teams

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with connected healthcare devices or patient monitoring platforms
• Usability validation experience or regulated healthcare environments
• Data visualization/dashboard design

Education

• Engineering degree (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc) and related technical certifications (desirable)
