Healthcare QA engineer

Role Overview

Healthcare QA Automation Engineer to join the QA team, with a focus on Selenium-based automation for healthcare applications (EHR/EMR and related systems). The role supports functional, regression, and integration testing, including automated API validation and backend data checks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Selenium automation frameworks
• Create and execute automated test scripts
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
• Automate API test cases
• Validate backend data using SQL queries
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum)
• Analyze defects and partner with developers on resolution
• Maintain automation suites and improve test coverage
• Prepare QA status reports and testing metrics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of Software QA Automation experience
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Proficiency in Java or C#
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit
• Experience with Maven or Gradle
• Strong SQL skills for backend database validation
• API testing experience with Postman, Rest Assured, or SOAP UI
• Version control experience with Git
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Healthcare Domain (Highly Preferred)

• Experience testing healthcare applications
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, X12, or healthcare claims processing
• Payer or provider healthcare environment experience is preferred
