About the role
Role Overview
Divish Consulting is seeking a Healthcare Product Owner / Functional Consultant with strong experience in patient access and authorization workflows in provider-side US healthcare environments. The role will translate business processes into structured functional requirements, workflow designs, and deliverables that support solution design, implementation, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and functional requirements across patient access workflows.
- Define current-state and future-state workflows, including steps, decision points, and exceptions.
- Translate business needs into:
- Functional requirements
- User stories
- Process flows
- Acceptance criteria
- Support solution design across Prior Authorization, Eligibility & Benefits Verification, and Financial Clearance.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and handoff issues.
- Collaborate with business, operations, product, and technology teams.
- Support UAT, defect validation, and requirement traceability.
- Maintain clear, structured functional documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of provider-side patient access workflows in US healthcare.
- Hands-on experience in at least 2 of:
- Prior Authorization
- Eligibility & Benefits Verification
- Financial Clearance
- Expertise in:
- Requirements gathering
- Workflow analysis
- Process mapping
- Ability to produce clear functional documentation from business needs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to partner with both business users and technical teams.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) downstream processes.
- Understanding of payer-driven workflows and US reimbursement models.
- Experience with case management/workflow platforms; Salesforce or similar systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Specialty care or oncology workflow exposure.
Experience & Education
- 7+ years in healthcare operations, functional consulting, and/or business analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Healthcare Administration/Life Sciences preferred but not mandatory).
