About the role

Head of Product & Engineering

Lead the evolution of Design Manager’s product portfolio and technology platform across the Design Manager ecosystem.

Reporting & Collaboration

Reports directly to the CEO
Partners with the leadership team and Performant Capital
Works with a distributed product and engineering organization

Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Strategy

Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product portfolio
Deeply understand customer workflows, market trends, and industry challenges
Translate company objectives into product priorities and measurable outcomes
Drive transparency across the organization to keep cross-functional teams aligned
Establish and lead product management processes, including:
- Roadmap planning and prioritization
- Customer feedback loops
- Release planning
Partner with customers, internal stakeholders, and leadership to validate product direction
Drive adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve customer value and operational efficiency

Engineering Leadership & Execution

Lead and develop a distributed engineering team (~15 engineers) across the US, Canada, and Argentina
Foster accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Ensure engineering execution aligns with product priorities and business objectives
Modernize and maintain software architecture and infrastructure for scalability, security, reliability, and performance
Champion engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment, and operational support

Requirements

Engineering background
Experience managing technical teams
Strong product ownership experience and passion for customer-centric innovation
Ability to balance customer/workflow discussions with architecture and development prioritization
Willingness to build product discipline and roadmap clarity in a currently lean product organization

Nice-to-haves

Experience leveraging AI and automation in product delivery
Experience building release planning and roadmap processes from a lean starting point
