Head of Product Design

Role overview

You will lead and build the next generation of mobile product offerings as Head of Product Design at Huckleberry Labs. You will set and drive the product vision, own end-to-end design cycles, and manage a team of designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own end-to-end new product design, ensuring solutions align with user needs and business goals
• Create new products and experiences by deeply understanding user behaviors, motivations, and pain points
• Define and drive product vision and strategy through design
• Lead and manage the Product Design team, including coaching and mentorship via design reviews and feedback
• Partner cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and researchers to deliver impactful user experiences
• Connect design solutions to business metrics and outcomes
• Build and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across products

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, with strong focus on mobile app design
• 3+ years leading and managing Product Design teams; ability to coach and elevate team performance
• Strong user-centered design, usability, and accessibility knowledge
• Ability to use data and user feedback to inform, validate, and refine design decisions
• Track record of creating products/experiences even in emerging or undefined spaces
• Demonstrated collaboration skills with engineers, PMs, and researchers
• Portfolio showing design thinking, decision-making, and measurable impact
