Role Overview
Head of Design (UI & UX) at Move Solo — a full-time remote role responsible for leading the design team and driving the ideation, creation, and execution of product and branding design initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the design team; oversee design process across multiple projects
- Manage and steer branding initiatives
- Ensure cohesive visual and product design standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the aesthetic and functional aspects of features, branding, and user experience
- Translate strategic goals into compelling, functional design concepts
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in design management (coordinating teams and design workflows)
- Strong Visual Interface Design and Product Design skills with a user-centric focus
- Experience in branding and maintaining a cohesive identity across multiple channels
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to translate strategy into design concepts
- Background in app design
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with interface design principles
- Proficiency with design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping software
- Degree in Design/Fine Arts or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with startups (e.g., Plaid, Anthropic, Meta, Apple, Stripe, Upwork)
