Head of Design – High-End Residential Architecture (NY / South Florida Focus)

Role overview

Head of Design – High-End Residential Architecture for a new “Residential Hospitality™” concept. You’ll serve as the Conceptual Design Authority and help shape outcomes for $50M+ mega-properties, working with a founding leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront psychological discovery sessions with clients to ensure alignment before design begins.
• Protect the integrity of a proprietary lifestyle blueprint throughout the design process.
• Operate free from traditional firm constraints by focusing on high-impact conceptual/spatial design while outsourcing construction execution to subcontract partners.
• Lead early-stage conceptual direction and help establish a new category/field for residential luxury experiences.
• Serve as a primary driver of client alignment and support evaluation of structural partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years designing $30M+ luxury residential properties at world-class U.S. architecture firms.
• Deep expertise building static beauty plus capability to design around human connection, community, and high-end entertaining.
• Humble confidence, strong technical mastery, and a human-connection-first mindset.

Preferred / location focus

• Strong preference for candidates based in or deeply connected to:
  • NY / Greenwich / Hamptons corridor
  • Miami / Palm Beach corridor

Working model

• Remote & travel.
• Expected travel: 10%–25%.

Compensation

• $175K–$300K total target compensation package (based on experience).
