Role overview

Lead accounting operations for Oviva’s largest market, ensuring financial integrity, German regulatory and tax compliance, and operational excellence. You will run accounting processes, improve workflows (including via ERP), manage audits, and build a high-performance, people-focused culture.

Key missions

• Lead accounting operations in Germany, including oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with HGB and IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with German tax filings, working closely with local tax advisors.
• Identify and implement strategic process improvements within ERP systems to increase efficiency.
• Oversee tax & compliance, risk management, process automation, and audit management.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional accounting experience, including 3+ years successfully managing leaders or large teams.
• Deep technical expertise in HGB, with solid experience applying IFRS.
• Advanced proficiency with enterprise ERP systems and collaborative tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
• Full professional proficiency in German and English.
• Professional qualification preferred: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

• Experience driving accounting process automation and significant workflow transformations.
• Strong stakeholder and audit leadership experience.
