Role Overview
Adult Social Services is looking for a Handyperson to join its team. The role supports a responsive service by helping older adults and people with disabilities maintain safe, independent living in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide small repairs and minor adaptations in residents’ homes
- Carry out energy efficiency work
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of a responsive service
- Use excellent communication skills while supporting service users
- Support people to live independently by understanding their needs
Requirements
- Full driving licence held for at least 2 years
- Ability to work flexibly
- Understanding of the needs of older people and people with disabilities
