Role Overview

API QA Tester / Guidewire

• Remote (USA)
• Contract
• Partner closely with QA leadership and a Center of Excellence to ensure testing practices are followed across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform strong API testing and validate integration behaviors.
• Test and validate AWS cloud components.
• Collaborate with Quality Architect and the Center of Excellence on:
  • Test automation
  • Performance testing approaches
  • Environment setup/testing
  • TDM implementation
• Work across teams to ensure SDETs follow best practices, defined Test Services standards, and client methodologies.
• Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders (e.g., Business Relationship Manager, IT Delivery Leader, UAT, QA/IT Architects) to support priorities and customer needs.
• Participate in delivery ceremonies and communities of practice to improve team productivity.
• Lead/participate in test design reviews and align teams on architectural strategies.
• Review technical designs, code, and tests as part of test leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

• Strong API testing skills.
• Strong experience testing AWS components.
• Insurance experience is required.
• Ability to partner with QA automation/performance/environment/TDM initiatives across multiple teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Test automation experience and familiarity with QA architectural strategy and test service standards (implied by the role).
