Growth Workflow Manager, Performance & Paid

Role Overview

Kraken is rebuilding performance marketing from first principles. As Growth Workflow Manager (Performance & Paid Growth), you will design AI-driven automation workflows for paid acquisition, translating your logic into agent systems the build team implements.

Responsibilities

• Define and spec automation workflows for paid growth, including:
  • creative fatigue detection
  • budget reallocation
  • geo-level channel mix optimization
  • audience signal processing
• Work with the build team to translate workflow specs into working agent automations.
• QA agent outputs: evaluate what the system produces, identify gaps, and define corrections.
• Refine AI-generated creative/copy variants using domain judgment to improve likely performance.
• Define and maintain knowledge base inputs for paid growth agents, including rules, guardrails, and campaign logic.
• Monitor and continuously improve workflow performance, leveraging compounding learning from results.
• Extend systems thinking to other growth levers as the platform expands (e.g., CRO, incentives, referrals, lifecycle and cross-channel workflows).

Requirements

• 4+ years running performance/paid growth campaigns at scale across major paid channels.
• Systems thinking: map growth as triggers → decisions → actions → measurements.
• Data fluency: read dashboards, distinguish signal from noise, and define optimization objectives for automation.
• Prompt/AI curiosity: learn to communicate precisely with AI systems to improve outputs (not required to be an engineer).
• Strong written communication: produce clear workflow specifications that engineers can implement.
• High agency: define the work and drive it forward.

• Experience with marketing automation, CRM, and/or lifecycle messaging systems.
