Group Product Manager (Financial Systems)

Role Overview

As Group Product Manager (Financial Systems), you will be the strategic owner of the Financial Systems domain. You will define the vision, roadmap, and core technical requirements for the Contract-to-Ledger ecosystem, working with finance and executive leadership to translate accounting policies and commercial strategy into reliable system logic.

Key Missions

• Define the vision, roadmap, and technical requirements for the Contract-to-Ledger ecosystem, ensuring long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with business units to translate complex commercial strategies and accounting policies into elegant system logic.
• Eliminate manual operational workarounds by designing automated validation gates and maximizing native capabilities across the technology stack.
• Drive alignment on repeatable, standardized processes before committing engineering effort.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a technical product roadmap and technical product backlog (grooming user stories and sequencing priorities).
• Create comprehensive functional specifications, schemas, and technical execution criteria.
• Act as a consultative peer to executive stakeholders, handling competing business requests and advocating for scalability.
• Lead product management and/or enterprise architecture work across business lifecycles such as Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, and Hire-to-Pay.
• Direct and hold external implementation partners/technical consultants accountable to co-delivery gates while maintaining internal ownership of core product strategy.

Requirements

• Advanced operational experience configuring and integrating enterprise subscription and ERP systems, specifically including some of: Salesforce Billing, NetSuite ERP, NetSuite ARM, Rippling, Carta, Fidelity, or similar subscription management tools (e.g., ZoneBilling).
• Deep, hands-on product management and/or enterprise architecture experience across Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, and Hire-to-Pay lifecycles.
• Strong accounting systems understanding, including deferred revenue schemas, automated billing schedules, accounts receivable aging logic, and ERP behaviors.
• Proven ability to own and structure a technical product backlog, including writing functional specs and execution criteria.
• Experience operating as a consultative partner to executives (not an order-taker), navigating competing demands and influencing standardization.
• 8+ years of product management experience, including direct management of Product Managers.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience structuring and directing external implementation partners/technical consultants with clear delivery gates.
• Strong comfort evaluating system scalability tradeoffs and translating accounting complexity into system logic.
