Golang Developer (Remote - Contract)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go (Golang)
Own features end-to-end across the SDLC (from inception through deployment and support)
Build microservices architectures with scalability, fault tolerance, and performance in mind
Use goroutines and Go concurrency patterns for responsive, parallel processing services
Write and maintain unit tests and participate in code reviews
Integrate with PostgreSQL, optimizing schemas and queries for performance and consistency
Work with Azure services, including Azure Service Bus and Azure Monitor
Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-native)
Implement observability and reliability via logging, error handling, and monitoring (e.g., Kafka, Grafana, Azure monitoring stacks)
Collaborate with DevOps and Product teams to ensure reliable CI/CD pipelines and production readiness
Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions for Go services
Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve codebase performance

Requirements

3+ years hands-on experience in Golang development
Strong understanding of Go fundamentals (interfaces, structs, package design, language internals)
Proven experience with PostgreSQL (schema design and query tuning)
Proficiency with Azure, especially microservices and event-driven architecture
Solid experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Familiarity with Kafka and monitoring/distributed tracing concepts (e.g., Grafana)
Ability to build production-grade services from the ground up
Strong communication skills and comfortable working cross-functionally
Ownership mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have

CQRS and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Familiarity with gRPC, Protobuf, or GraphQL
Microsoft Azure certification (or related cloud certifications)
Preference for immediate joiners
