About the role
Role Overview
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Golang Developer for a 100% remote (U.S.) full-time role. You will design and build high-performance backend services and cloud-native applications using Go, with a strong focus on latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go with strong concurrency, error handling, and resource management
- Build cloud-native applications using Kubernetes-native libraries and idiomatic Go patterns (including module boundaries and operational hooks)
- Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators (safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments)
- Implement gRPC and REST APIs with observability and security in mind
- Profile and optimize Go applications for memory/GC/goroutine behavior using measurement and data-driven improvements
- Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka, NATS) and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis, etcd)
- Create comprehensive automated tests (unit, integration, benchmarks)
- Add structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing for debugging and operational visibility
- Lead code and design reviews; raise engineering standards
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through review, pairing, and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to internal Go libraries and reusable platform tooling
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation (architecture, design decisions, runbooks, onboarding materials)
- Continuously evaluate Go ecosystem evolution and improve internal patterns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of professional software engineering
- Strong Go expertise with systems knowledge (e.g., networking, containers, distributed systems)
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Kubernetes controllers/operators and long-running reconciliation logic
- Experience optimizing Go for throughput/latency/resource efficiency with profiling and measurement
