About the role

Role Overview

Golang Developer (100% Remote, U.S.) at Bright Vision Technologies. You will design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go, focusing on latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain production backend services and API layers (gRPC and/or REST) in Go
  • Develop cloud-native and Kubernetes-oriented tooling, including Kubernetes-native development
  • Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, business)
  • Contribute to shared codebases across multiple teams
  • Improve engineering quality through code review, design review, and mentorship of junior engineers
  • Ensure solutions are production-ready with strong debugging and performance engineering skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go
  • Strong understanding of Go concurrency (goroutines, channels, contexts)
  • Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
  • Experience with Kubernetes-native development (e.g., client-go, controller-runtime)
  • Solid experience with relational and key-value data stores
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and networking
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Open-source contributions to Go-based projects
  • Experience writing Kubernetes operators/controllers
  • Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
  • Exposure to security-sensitive Go projects (cryptography/auth)
  • Familiarity with WASM, Tinygo, or embedded systems
