Golang Developer

Role Overview

Senior/experienced Golang Developer to design and build high-performance backend services and cloud-native applications using Go. You’ll work on systems where latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency matter, contributing to a shared codebase across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go, with a focus on concurrency, error handling, and resource management
• Build cloud-native applications using Go and Kubernetes-native libraries; follow idiomatic Go and maintain clear module boundaries and operational hooks
• Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators (including reconciliation logic for long-running environments)
• Implement gRPC and REST APIs with observability and security
• Profile and optimize Go services for memory, GC, and goroutine behavior using measurement and data-driven improvements
• Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka, NATS) and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis, etcd)
• Build automated tests: unit, integration, and benchmark tests
• Add structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing to support operations and on-call diagnostics
• Lead code reviews and uphold engineering standards; mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Contribute to shared internal Go libraries and reusable platform tooling
• Maintain current technical documentation (architecture diagrams, design decisions, runbooks, operational procedures)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
• 5+ years professional software engineering

Nice to Have / Implied Strengths

• Strong systems knowledge: network programming, container ecosystems, and distributed systems design
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered production solutions
