Golang Developer

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Golang Developer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go. The role emphasizes latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency, and you’ll contribute to a shared codebase across multiple teams.

Location / Employment

• 100% remote (Continental United States)
• Full-time, direct W2 employment with Bright Vision Technologies
• In-house SOW engagement (no third-party clients/vendors)
• Long-term, multi-year aligned to the Bright Vision delivery roadmap

Responsibilities

• Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go with strong focus on:
  • concurrency
  • error handling
  • resource management
• Build cloud-native applications using Go and Kubernetes-native libraries with:
  • idiomatic Go patterns
  • clear module boundaries
  • operational hooks for easy deployment and operations
• Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms:
  • clear command surfaces
  • robust error handling
  • safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments
• Implement gRPC and REST APIs with appropriate observability and security
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions through collaboration with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Raise the engineering bar via code review, design review, and mentorship

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience
• Strong hands-on Go expertise
• Broad systems knowledge including:
  • network programming
  • container ecosystems
  • distributed system design
• Strong engineering discipline and clear communication
• Ability to pass a mandatory technical coding assessment

Nice to Have / Additional Notes

• Experience building Kubernetes-native tooling (controllers/operators) and long-running reconciliation systems
