About the role

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Golang Developer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go. This is a 100% remote (Continental US) full-time, direct W2 role as part of the company’s in-house Statement of Work (SOW) delivery roadmap (no third-party client/vendor).

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go, with focus on:
    • Concurrency, error handling, and resource management
  • Build cloud-native Go applications using Kubernetes-native libraries, applying:
    • idiomatic Go patterns and clear module boundaries
    • operational hooks to make services easy to deploy and operate
  • Develop internal tooling such as CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators
    • define clean command surfaces
    • implement robust error handling and safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments
  • Implement and maintain gRPC and REST APIs with:
    • observability and security considerations
  • Participate in code reviews/design reviews and help raise engineering standards
  • Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
  • Mentor more junior engineers as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong hands-on Go expertise for backend/system-level development
  • Broad systems knowledge including:
    • network programming
    • container/Kubernetes ecosystems
    • distributed system design
  • Strong engineering discipline, communication skills, and a track record of shipping production-ready work
  • Willingness to work directly as a full-time W2 employee of Bright Vision Technologies
  • Mandatory technical coding assessment

Nice to Have / Additional Signals

  • Experience building Kubernetes controllers/operators and internal platform tooling

Logistics & Policy Notes

  • Location/Work: 100% remote, Continental United States
  • Employment type: Full-time direct W2 (no C2C/1099/third-party)
  • Visa: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers welcome for qualified candidates
  • Compensation: $100K–$150K base salary plus benefits (commensurate with experience)
  • Engagement: Long-term, multi-year aligned to Bright Vision SOW delivery roadmap
