About the role
Role Overview
Bright Vision Technologies is hiring an experienced Golang Developer for a 100% remote (Continental US) in-house, long-term W2 engagement. You will design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go, with strong emphasis on latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go, with strong concurrency, error handling, and resource management
- Build cloud-native applications in Go using idiomatic Go patterns, well-defined module boundaries, and operational hooks for easy deployment and operation
- Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms, including safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments
- Implement gRPC and REST APIs with observability and security
- Raise engineering standards via code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering, operations, business stakeholders) to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend/system services using Go
- Strong systems knowledge including concurrency, network programming, container ecosystems, and distributed systems design
- Strong engineering discipline, clear communication, and a track record of shipping production-ready work
- Ability to pass a mandatory technical coding assessment
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience developing Kubernetes-native tooling such as controllers/operators
- Experience with observability and secure API design patterns
Employment / Work Model
- Full-time, direct W2 with Bright Vision Technologies (no C2C, no 1099, no third-party/vendor placement)
- Long-term, multi-year engagement aligned to the company’s SOW delivery roadmap
- Remote location: Continental United States
- Visa: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers welcome
Compensation
- $100K – $150K base salary (commensurate with experience) + benefits
