About the role

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Golang Developer for a 100% remote (Continental United States) full-time W2 role. You’ll design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go, with production-grade reliability as a core focus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go, emphasizing:
    • concurrency
    • error handling
    • resource management
  • Build cloud-native applications in Go using Kubernetes-native patterns and libraries (idiomatic Go, clear module boundaries, operational hooks).
  • Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms, including safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments.
  • Implement gRPC and REST APIs with observability and security in mind.
  • Profile and optimize Go applications for latency, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into solid solutions.
  • Raise engineering standards through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong, hands-on expertise building backend systems with Go
  • Broad systems knowledge, including:
    • network programming
    • container ecosystem
    • distributed systems design
  • Ability to translate requirements into well-engineered production solutions
  • Willingness to work directly as a full-time W2 employee (no C2C/1099/third-party)
  • Mandatory technical coding assessment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes controllers/operators and internal platform tooling
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping meaningful, production-ready work

Compensation & Terms

  • $100K–$150K base salary (commensurate with experience) plus benefits
  • Long-term, multi-year engagement aligned to the company’s in-house SOW delivery roadmap

Visa / Sponsorship

  • No new H1B sponsorship available
  • H1B transfers welcomed for qualified candidates
