About the role
Role Overview
Bright Vision Technologies is looking for an experienced Golang Developer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go. The role is 100% remote within the Continental United States and is a full-time, direct W2 in-house engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go, with emphasis on:
- Concurrency
- Error handling
- Resource management
- Build cloud-native Go applications using Kubernetes-native libraries, applying:
- Idiomatic Go patterns
- Well-defined module boundaries
- Operational hooks that support easy deployment and operations
- Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms, including:
- Clear command interfaces
- Robust error handling
- Safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments
- Implement gRPC and REST APIs with strong observability and security
- Profile and optimize Go application performance
- Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions in collaboration with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
- Raise engineering quality through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building software with Go
- Strong engineering discipline with experience shipping production-quality work
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate cross-functionally
- Technical coding assessment is mandatory
Nice to Haves (implied)
- Broad systems knowledge such as:
- Network programming
- Container ecosystems
- Distributed system design
- Experience with Kubernetes controller/operator development
Additional Details
- Location: 100% remote (Continental United States)
- Employment type: Full-time, direct W2 with Bright Vision Technologies (no C2C/1099/third-party)
- Salary: $100K–$150K base salary (commensurate with experience) + benefits
