Golang Developer

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Golang Developer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go. The work prioritizes latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency, and you’ll contribute to a shared codebase across multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement performant backend services and APIs in Go with strong focus on:
  • concurrency
  • error handling
  • resource management
• Build cloud-native applications in Go using Kubernetes-native libraries and idiomatic Go patterns.
• Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms, including:
  • clear command surfaces
  • robust error handling
  • safe reconciliation logic for long-running environments
• Implement gRPC and REST APIs with observability and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, business) to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions.
• Raise the team’s engineering bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a developer.
• Strong, hands-on Go expertise.
• Broad systems knowledge, including:
  • network programming
  • container ecosystems
  • distributed system design
• Strong engineering discipline and clear communication.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building Kubernetes controllers/operators and related long-running reconciliation logic.
• Familiarity with gRPC/REST API development with observability and security practices.

Additional Details

• Employment type: Full-time, direct W2 employment (no C2C/1099/third-party).
• Engagement: In-house Statement of Work (SOW) delivery (multi-year).
• Remote: 100% remote for the Continental United States.
• Visa: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers are welcome.
• Assessment: A technical coding assessment is mandatory.
