Go/Golang Developer - Remote

Role Overview

Join a customer team as a Go (Golang) Developer to help evaluate and train next-generation AI coding tools during highly confidential alpha stages. This is a part-time, remote contract opportunity centered on hands-on technical exploration and AI-assisted software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop REST and GraphQL endpoints using a modern Go backend stack
• Implement rigorous data validation and comprehensive error handling
• Perform database migrations and performance optimization
• Test and evaluate alpha AI models in Cursor across multiple testing bursts (e.g., 4-day, 5+ hour/day)
• Identify and document incidents, bugs, and edge cases with detailed reports, bug traces, and annotated screenshots
• Collaborate with a research team via Slack, providing real-time feedback and insights
• Complete structured surveys after each testing burst to assess impressions and usability

Required Skills / Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Go/Golang developer
• Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend best practices
• Proven experience with AI-powered coding tools (and ideally Cursor)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Enthusiasm for hands-on coding, rapid prototyping, and technical curiosity
• Experience with data validation, robust error handling, and complex debugging
• Ability to document findings thoroughly without disclosing confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• Public contributions to open-source (e.g., notable GitHub repos/stars)
• Experience evaluating technical products or conducting developer tool QA
• Interest in mentoring and sharing insights with high-trust research teams
